In the pursuit of a dream, there are many sacrifices.
The twists and turns you never anticipated.
You think you’ve got it right this time.
That you’ve made the best decision.
But in hindsight, you come to realise you both want very different destinations
I got, what I thought I wanted.
The house, the car, the big screen TV.
I soon came to realise, it just wasn’t enough for Key.
A spark had been ignited, and traditional married life no longer excited me.
I wanted something very different, that made married life rather tricky.
It was a dream and a vision I wanted to make a reality.
You wanted more children, together we already had three.
Four was out of the equation.
Sadly, it just wasn’t meant to be.
Two people, two different destinations.
So, I made a decision based on integrity.
You may think it’s selfish, but to have done otherwise would have been incredibly unhealthy.
Buried resentment, frustration would have become of me…
So I made a decision that had far-reaching repercussions to honour a dream in me.
I had to be free.
Sadly, my marriage was a causality.
He is a good man, the kindest ever bestowed on me.
Yet, it was not meant to be, because of my need for authenticity.
So, I chose me and etched out a new path to unfurl my destiny.
Freedom certainly is not free.
And with every decision, there are far-reaching repercussions.
Sometimes it looks like your declining, when in fact your rising.
Hold firm to all my aspirational people, who have the audacity to dream.
Who honour that inner calling, to be all that you can be.
Pain into Purpose has become my destiny.
This is one of the reasons I’m so passionate about turning pain in purpose. I have done this and it’s not been easy.
Through my life experience as well as my education and learning I have put together my Pain to Purpose course, so you can benefit from it.
